I prepared key design components for Chefs’ Playground, a major food-art-theater gala in Chicago. Now in its 6th year, the event reaches 50MM viewers and has featured more than 70 culinary leaders, including Rick Bayless, Jeff Mauro, Lee Wolen, and numerous Top Chef contestants. The high profile event supports the Academy for Global Citizenship, a public charter elementary school globally recognized for sustainability, whole-child wellness, and civic engagement.
"In my two decades of work as a non-profit leader, Aneela stands out as one of the most talented and thoughtful designers around. The Virginia-based artist prepared key design components for Chefs’ Playground, a major food-art-theater gala in Chicago.
A key component of her work allowed guests to choose their particular cause affiliation before and during the event. These designs helped to power an innovative fundraising model for instant, frictionless giving. Thanks to her impactful visuals, the school was well positioned to close its annual 250K operating budget gap and raise the funds to break ground on the school’s future net-positive campus."
